Women's Golf Team Finishes Fifth

VASS, N.C. -- The Anderson University women's golf team shot a 351 in the final round to finish fifth in the St. Andrews Presbyterian Spring Invitational Tuesday at the Woodlake Golf and Country Club. Anderson finished the 36-hole event with a total of 697. Pfeiffer won the tournament with a 639 total. St. Leo and Newberry tied for second at 672, and Limestone was fourth at 692. Pfeiffer's Brittany Beltran won the individual title with a total of 149. Anna Riss of St. Leo and Franziska Blum of Newberry tied for second at 154. Anderson was led by Sophie Dembroski, who finished seventh at 164. Dembroski shot an 84 in the second round. Anderson's other three scores in the second round were Kim Hausman 84, Hayley Parks 89, and Liz Belanger 94.
