Women's Golf Team Competes In MexicoFebruary 13, 2007
ENSENADA, Mexico -- Making their first trip ever out of the United States for a tournament, the Anderson University women's golf team finished 13th in the 13-team Baja Invitational Tuesday. Anderson was the only Division II team in the field. Toledo (315-321-311) finished in first place. Eastern Michigan was 25 shots back at 972. Texas-San Antonio was third at 973. Anderson (360-365-347) finished with a 54-hole total of 1,072. Toledo's Tammy Clelland and Eastern Michigan's Catherine Fortin finished in a tie for the individual title at 230. Anderson's lowest score was posted by freshman Sophie Dembroski, who finished with a total of 257. Dembroski shot 84 in both the first round and the third round. Anderson's other total scores were: Erin May 264, Jenny Odle 276, Jenny Fretwell 278, and Carlie Eastman 282.
