Women's Golf Team Tied For Third After First Round

HICKORY, N.C. -- The Anderson College women's golf team is tied with host Catawba for third place after the first round of the Patsy Rendleman Invitational Monday. Central Arkansas leads the 13-team field after the first round with a 314. Pfeiffer is second at 318, and Anderson and Catawba are tied for third at 327. Wingate and Newberry are tied for fifth at 332. Jenny Odle led Anderson with an 80 and is tied for 11th place in the individual standings. Following Odle for AC were Erin May 81, Carlie Eastman 82, and Jenny Fretwell 84. The individual leader after the first round is Catawba's Paige Haverty with a 2-under 70. Andrea Grier of Pfeiffer is second at even-par 72, and Christina Lecuyer of Central Arkansas and Kass Bailey of Lenior-Rhyne are tied for third at 76. The final round will be played Tuesday morning.
