Women's Golf Team Finishes 12th At L-R Tournament

NORTH MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. -- The Anderson College women's golf team finished in a tie for 12th in the Lenior-Rhyne Invitational at the Bay Tree Plantation Tuesday. Anderson finished in a tie with host Lenior Rhyne at 679. The Lady Trojans fired rounds of 340-339. Erin May and Carlie Eastman led Anderson in the second round with 82. Jenny Fretwell shot 87, and Jenny Odle carded an 88. West Florida won the tournament with a 36-hole total of 615. Grand Valley State was second at 619, and Nova Southeastern was third at 620. Tonya Choate of Drury won the individual title with a two-round total of 145. Catawba's Paige Haverty was second at 147.
