Womens Cross Country Earns Regional Recognition
August 27, 2009ANDERSON, S.C. -- After being picked to finish second in the Conference Carolinas preseason poll earlier this week, the Anderson womens cross country team continues to garner regional recognition, collecting a No. 10 ranking in the USTFCCAs Southeast Region earlier this week. Anderson was joined by fellow league members Lees-McRae, Converse and Queens of Charlotte in the top 10. The Lady Trojans are coming off a third-place finish at last season’s Conference Carolinas Cross Country Championships and head coach
Randy Greer is looking for continued success from his young runners. Anderson opens its 2009 season at USC Upstate’s Eye Opener on Sept. 5 in Spartanburg.
